On Friday, March 29th we will conclude our PARP month with Character Day! Staff and students are invited to dress up as their favorite storybook characters. We will all get to show- off our characters at the monthly Sharing Assembly. At the assembly, we will also reveal the winning book from our school-wide Tournament of Books!
On the evening of Wednesday, March 20th, we will have our much-loved Starry Story Night from 6:30-7:30pm. This is a night when staff and community members read stories to our students in a fun and informal atmosphere (pajamas and teddy bears welcome)! This evening has become a favorite over the years and our staff looks forward to it as much as the children! (Snow date: Wednesday, March 27th)
We are excited to share our slate of Spring 2019 programming!

The PTO has sponsored The Holiday Gift Drive for nearly 17 years in an effort to help make the holidays a little brighter for families, particularly the children in our KES community whose families may not have the financial resources to celebrate.
Kindergarten: New mittens, warm pajamas and socks (youth sizing) for The Northern Westchester Community Center
First through Fifth grade: New, grade-appropriate, books, games and fun, small “stocking stuffer” type items which will be used to fill a festive red shoe box for the families in our own KES community. We encourage KES families to purchase items appropriate for the grade their child is in. (Ex. If your child is in 1st grade buy items to gift a 1st grade child.)
Please join the KES PTO Executive Board on Wednesday, November 14th at 7PM as we host our evening General Membership Meeting in the KES Gym. Following the General Meeting, there will be a presentation from the KES Compact Committee on Social Media Awareness, Digital Footprints & Digital Citizenship. See the compact committee update below for more details.
Monday, October 29th until Thursday, November 15th, the KES community will be collecting specific food items for the Northern Westchester Community Center. These donations will help hundreds of our neighbors in need enjoy special holiday meals. We have assigned items by grade and ask that you please leave food donations in the boxes outside your child’s classroom.
